Jolene Jacobs to represent Namibia at the World Indoor Championship in Birmingham

Jolene Jacobs will be the sole representative for Namibia at the 2018 World Indoor Championships. She will take part in the 60m meters.  Her selection follows her good times at indoor meets in Europe earlier in the month. She broke the Namibian National Indoor Record in the 60 meter of 7.50 seconds improving the 7.64 seconds set by Globine Mayova in 2012.  Athletics Namibia wishes her all the best at the Championships.

Athletes warmed up Otjiwarongo at the Coca Cola Regional Club Challenge third leg

It was action galore at the third leg of the Coca Cola Regional Club Challenge at Otjiwarongo on Saturday 24 February 2018 at the Pareisis Park. As expected the event did not disappoint with new emerging talent being unearthed. Gerson Kangwiya dominated both the 800m and 400m men and the races probably represented a change of guard after Daniel Nghipandulwa who has dominated the event over the last 12 years

Securitas Edugate Prestige High School Athletics and the Coca Cola Regional Club Challenge in Otjiwarongo this weekend

Athletes from athletics club across Namibia will decent on to Otjiwarongo for the 2018 third leg of the Coca Cola Regional Club Challenge. The event is jointly held with the Securitas Edugate Presitige High School Competition. Some of Namibia’s top athletes such as Hitjivirue Kaanjuka, Globine Majova and the upcoming sensation in the 400m men Auchamab Thasiso will be in action. The event will also some athletes from marginalized communities

The Coca Cola Regional Club Challenge continues to grow

The Coca Cola Regional Club Challenge saw a large turn up by athletes and exciting duels in various events. About 200 athletes decented on to Oshakati from across Namibia for the 2nd leg of the Coca Cola Regional Club in Oshakati highlighting the growing popularity of the event.  The event that kicked of with a 10 000 meters at the Oshakati Independence Stadium on Saturday 17 February 2018, saw winner

The 2018 Rossing National Marathon delivers exciting times

Mathews Mutanya from Zambia won the men’s open category in the 42km in a time 02:16.53.60. Anna Amutoko won the women’s open category in a time of 02:53.45.31. Reinhold Thomas took second place in the men’s open category and is the 2018 National Champion.
